We travel along Sir Lowry's Pass over the Hottentots Holland Mountains into the Overberg region to Hermanus, famous for Whale watching (in season June - November). This village with its vibrant markets and old harbour offers plenty to do. After lunch we make our way back via the beautiful False Bay coastline passing through Gordon's Bay before returning to Cape Town late afternoon.

Depart at sunrise travel via Paarl and Worcester through the spectacular Du Toits Kloof Pass and Hex River Valley where you will experience the beauty of this paradise at the best time of the day. Arrive at Aquila 2 hours later where you receive welcome drink & snack. After this we embark on a game drive in this Karoo Game Reserve where game such as Lion, Buffalo, Crocodile, Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra and various other antelope can be seen amongst around 172 species of birds - one of which the Black Eagle (Aquila). We return to the lodge for lunch and the afternoon is at leisure to take an easy walk or just relax next to the pool and listen to talks by enthusiastic game rangers about their experiences. We depart the Lodge at 15:00 and are back in Cape Town around 17:00.
